Smoke does not just sit on a surface — it drives into open grain and porous stone and keeps releasing odor for years. Laser removes soot and the residue layer under it without water, without sanding away the profile, and without turning an exposed beam into a replacement line item.
Wood chars at about 200°C. The pulse never gets there.
Nanosecond pulses deposit energy into the soot faster than heat can conduct into the wood fiber underneath. The residue vaporizes while the substrate stays cool. Continuous-wave lasers and open flame drying cannot do this — sustained heat scorches the wood before the soot clears.
No water, no secondary damage
Pressure washing and chemical sponging add moisture to a building that has already been soaked by suppression. That is how you get warping, mold and a second claim. This process is completely dry.
A burned building has no power. We bring our own.
The rig runs off a generator, so the utilities being off — which after a fire they always are — does not delay the work. That matters when a carrier is paying for a mitigation window and the meter is running on temporary housing.
It keeps the original wood in the building
Sanding and media blasting cut into the surface and take the profile, the saw marks and the aging with them. On a hand-hewn beam or a log wall, that is the difference between a restoration and a replacement.

Straight answers
When laser is the wrong tool.
Laser is not a universal solvent and we would rather tell you that now than after you have paid a mobilisation fee. It does not fill, fair or rebuild anything — it is a cleaning process, not a repair process. It is slower per square foot than blasting on large plain surfaces, so on a 40-foot run of ordinary steel fence, blasting is genuinely the better buy.
Some stone will darken or roughen if the parameters are wrong, which is exactly why every job starts with a test patch in an inconspicuous spot and nobody proceeds until you have looked at it.
